Setup guide
Set up in about five minutes
You'll do this once per computer you code on, and once per phone or pair of glasses. After that there's nothing to maintain: questions show up, you answer them.
1 Sign in
- Open app.sieverywhere.cc and tap Sign in. You sign in with your SI Somewhere account (one account for both) and come straight back.
- During early access, SI Everywhere has to be switched on for your account: ask to join if it says it isn't active.
2 Install the agent on each computer
A small program on your computer notices when Claude Code or Codex asks for permission. If you already use SI Somewhere, you have it: run the install again to update, and skip to step 3.
- Open Setup at app.sisomewhere.cc (same account) and, under Machines, make a machine key. It shows two lines.
- Paste them into a terminal on the computer:
export SISOMEWHERE_HUB_TOKEN=sim_… curl -fsSL -H "Authorization: Bearer $SISOMEWHERE_HUB_TOKEN" \ https://api.sisomewhere.cc/v1/agent/install.sh | sh - Restart any Claude Code or Codex sessions that were already open, so they pick it up. Codex asks you once to trust the new hooks: say yes.
macOS and Linux. The same key works on every computer you add; you can make one per computer if you'd rather remove them one at a time.
3 Turn on answering
Each computer decides for itself whether your devices may answer for it. Turn it on there:
sisomewhere actions on
- It prints this computer's key (like
K7QD-2MXA-PL4F-9WEN), a QR code and a link. - Scan the QR code with your phone, or open the link in a browser where you're signed in. The page shows the computer's key: check it matches.
- Tap Link this browser. The terminal shows the browser's key and asks
Link it? [y/N]. Check the keys match and type y.
Typing y at the computer is the one step nobody can do remotely: it's what keeps a stranger from linking your computers. On a second computer, open its link in the same browser and that browser vouches for it to the rest of your devices.
4 Add your iPhone, browsers and glasses
Every other device joins with a short code, entered on a device you've already added (like the browser from step 3).
- iPhone: install SI Everywhere, open it, and it shows an 8-letter code and its key. In Setup at app.sieverywhere.cc, enter the code under Add a device, check the key, and tap Add it. Allow notifications when the app asks.
- Another browser: open app.sieverywhere.cc, sign in, open Setup; it shows a code under This browser. Enter it on a linked device the same way. For alerts, open the menu and tap Alerts (on iPhone, add the site to your Home Screen first).
- Rokid Glasses: say "Hi Rokid, open SI Everywhere". It shows a code; add it the same way, then add the SI Everywhere widget to your HUD.
The code is made from the new device's own keys, so the device that adds it can tell it got the right ones. Remove any device in Setup and every computer stops accepting it at once.
Answering
- A question ("may I run this?") arrives as an alert with the exact command. Allow once, allow for the session, always allow, deny, or deny with a note for the agent.
- Reply to any session to tell it what to do next. If its window has closed, the computer resumes it in the background, and you'll find it under Recently closed.
- At the keyboard? Claude Code asks on screen and on your devices at once; the first answer wins. Codex asks at the keyboard while you're there, and on your devices once the computer has been idle for 10 minutes (
sisomewhere actions on --presence devicessends them to your devices always).
If something doesn't arrive
Run this on the computer. It checks everything SI Everywhere needs there and says how to fix whatever isn't right:
sisomewhere actions doctor
It checks the machine key, the agent and its connection, your devices, each tool's hooks, and the reply add-on for Claude Code.
To stop answering from devices on a computer, run sisomewhere actions off there.
